Twenty-two years ago, my dreams for a brighter future were becoming a reality.
In 2004, a job opportunity led my husband and me to relocate to Montgomery County. The truth is, we were really looking for a future — a place to call home.
We wanted a place full of opportunities. A place where our kids would have an exceptional education. A place where our family could belong in a community that celebrates each of us and our world.
In my younger days, I had known financial struggles firsthand, but never lost hope. I was taught that a strong education, hard work, and a fair chance can change your life for the better. I am living proof that the American dream is still alive.
Why am I running for County Council?
Montgomery County is a special place. It is my home, and I will put every ounce of my energy and determination into doing better for my children and for your children.
My vision is to shape Montgomery County into a thriving hub of economic opportunity aligned with an exceptional educational system, and to defend our values and uplift our communities.
I was once told that when you take the elevator up, you should send it back down for the next person to rise. With your support, I want to ensure we continue to elevate Montgomery County for all.
